Celebrating the life of Willie Freeman Gilmore, Jr
Thank you for signing Willie Freeman Gilmore, Jr's Guestbook
To the family,
My condolences to the loss of your love one. I know it is hard to deal with this grief-stricken pain. But God, whose name is Jehovah, stated in his word the Bible that “death will be no more”. (Psalms 83:18, 1 Timothy 3:16, Revelation 21:4). Also, his son, Jesus Christ, assured us at John 5:28,29: “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment”. So, rest assured, you will be able to see your love one again.
I’ve attached a link to one of our tracts from our website, jw.org. The tract asks this question, “Can the Dead Really Live Again?” It has wonderful scriptural encouragement that will help from God’s word.
Again, my sincerest condolences,

I wish to express my sincerest sympathy to the Gilmore family and friends because of losing Willie recently in death, way too soon. When our loved ones fall asleep in death, the pain and grief seems unbearable. Our loving God, Jehovah (Psalm 83:18), understands how we feel and he comforts us by means of his word the Bible. Psalm 34: 18 tells us: "Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40 and John 11:23-25) Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago." Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it." For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. John 17:3 Again, the family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences. Feel free to contact me if you wish at my email address; firstname.lastname@example.org I pray you will find comfort reading the above scriptures in your personal Bible and to please watch this beautiful video (song 144) entitled "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize" https://tv.jw.org/#en/video/VODChildren/pub-pksn_24_VIDEO or watch this short, faith strengthening video: "Can The Dead Really Live Again?" https://vimeo.com/232445509

May you find comfort and strength in knowing that God loves you and he cares for you, through talking to God in prayer, and from God's Word, the Bible, Psalm 36:7 says: "How precious your loyal love is, O God. In the shadow of your wings, the sons of men take refuge". Psalm 62:8 "Pour out your hearts before him. God is a refuge for us". Please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you! (Psalm 46:1; 1 Peter 5:7)

I was shocked to hear of Willie's passing. I knew him from the nursing home as I was one of his nurses up until early September. To me he was not just a resident there, but a friend. We shared a lot of laughs during times with him. He will be missed and remembered. I will remember how he was when I visited with him in November smiling and joking with me. My condolences to his family at this difficult time.

Heartfelt condolence to the Family of Willie Gilmore, Jr.,
There are few things more difficult than experiencing the loss of a loved one. No doubt Mr. Gilmore will be sadly missed. I too have endured such a loss and find comfort in knowing death was not God’s purpose for mankind and his purpose has not changed.
God’s word says 'death is an enemy' and promises it will be 'brought to nothing'. (1Corinthians 15:26) Further, “He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces”. (Isaiah 25:8). So, God guarantees the grief and sorrow we experience is temporary. (Revelation 21:4). It is because of Jehovah God’s purpose and great love for us, that he guarantees the restoration of life.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life...” ( John 11:25) Jesus not only spoke of the coming resurrection (John 5:21, 28, 29), he himself was resurrected by his Father and performed many miracles including resurrections. All resurrections took place on earth giving us a precious glimpse of what is to come.......seeing our loved ones again! (Acts 24:15)
As you cherish the many fond memories of Mr. Gilmore, may Jehovah God continue to bless your family during this difficult time and in the days to come......

To the family, I am so sorry for your loss. I didn’t know your family member personally. However I do understand losing a loved one in death can be very hard. You may wonder why does this happen, and if there will be a time when death will cease to exist. I’d like to share with you a scripture I was comforted by when i experienced a death of a loved one. Revelation 21:4: “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” I hope you find comfort in this scripture like I did.
