Frederick was commissioned in the United States Army as a 2nd Lieutenant thru the SCSU ROTC program. Almost half of his 22 years of service was as a Signal Corp Officer. He served in several overseas Commands. Following Completion of the Signal Officer Basic Course and Signal Maintenance Course, he completed Airborne School.
